BEKA Schréder Bursary South Africa

Bursary description:

  • BEKA Schréder is Africa’s largest maker of luminaires and GRP poles. 
  • The company’s goal is to give the best lighting solutions possible by optimizing luminaire optical  and mechanical design. 
  • The company’s mission is to always deliver intelligent and sustainable lighting solutions using  modern technology in order to minimize energy consumption and overall cost of ownership.
  • For the bursary, BEKA Schréder bursaries are awarded for a period of one year of study. Therefore, Students would have to reapply for each academic year, and the renewal of a bursary would be  contingent on their academic performance.
  • The bursary program provides complete reimbursement of study-related expenditures up to R75000 this includes tuition fees, textbooks costs, accommodation costs, and meal expenses. 
  • The remaining expenditures will be covered by the students. The  beneficiary will not be  entitled to the difference if the study-related expenditures are less than R75000.
  • Students who do not finish the program may be held responsible for reimbursing the partial or  whole sum of the bursary.
  • Each year, bursary awardees will have the chance to do holiday work or practical training.

  • Accounting
  • Finance
  • Marketing
  • Human Resources
  • Information Technology
  • Logistics
  • Supply Chain
  • Engineering

Bursary requirements:

  • Should be a South African citizen.
  • Should be studying in fields mentioned above.
  • Should studying at an accredited/recognized South African university.
  • Should have an exceptional academic record.
  • Should not be a recipient of any other bursary.

  • Certified copy of your ID/Passport (Less than 3 months old).
  • Documentation of why you need financial assistance, this can include parent’s pay slip and a motivational letter.
  • Acceptance letter/document from the university stating you have been accepted for the enrollment of the studies mentioned above.
  • Certified copy of your latest academic record for university students.
  • Certified copy of your Academic record (Grade 12 latest academic record/Grade 11 final academic record).
