Bursary description:
- The IDC, founded by the South African government in 1940 is a national development financing agency that offers financial and non-financial assistance to young companies working on industrial development initiatives.
- Students must work for IDC for the same period of time as their scholarship awardee once they have graduated.
- The bursary covers tuition fees, textbook costs, travel expenses and accommodation costs.
Must be interested in enrolling or studying the following degrees:

- Civil Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Electronic Engineering
- Financial Engineering
- Geology (leading to BTech at University of Technology)
- Industrial Engineering (BSc)
- Mechanical Engineering

Bursary requirements:
- Should be South African
- Should have completed their Matric/Grade 12
- Should be pursuing studies in the above mentioned fields
- Should be studying at an accredited or recognized South African university
- Should achieve an average of 75% and above in Math and Science in Grade 12
- Should achieve an average of 65% if you are already studying.

- Certified copy of your South African ID (Less than 3 months old).
- Documentation of why you need financial assistance, this can include parent’s pay slip and a motivational letter.
- Acceptance letter/document from the university stating you have been accepted for the enrollment of the studies you will be pursuing.
- Certified copy of your latest academic record for university students.
- Certified copy of your Academic record (Grade 12 latest academic record/Grade 11 final academic record).
