Bursary description

  • The Shoprite Group is Africa’s largest grocery retailer, with over 2,892 locations throughout the  continent. The company’s headquarters are in Brackenfell, South Africa’s Western Cape region.
  • The Shoprite Group offers a variety of scholarships to students pursuing or planning to pursue  scarce degrees.
  • Bursaries from Shoprite help students pay for tuition and on-campus accommodation costs.
  • The bursary also ensures job opportunities upon graduation.

Must be interested in enrolling or studying the following degrees:

  • Food Science
  • Pharmacy
  • Chartered Accounting
  • Logistics
  • Information Technology
  • Data Science

Bursary requirements:

  • Should be a South African citizen.
  • Should have completed Matric/Grade 12.
  • Should have an exceptional academic record.
  • Should be studying or interested in enrolling in the fields mentioned above
  • Should be enrolling or registered to enroll at an accredited university
  • Should have an exceptional academic record in university

  • Certified copy of your South African ID (Less than 3 months old).
  • Documentation of why you need financial assistance, this can include parent’s pay slip and a motivational letter.
  • Acceptance letter/document from the university stating you have been accepted for the enrollment of the studies you will be pursuing.
  • Certified copy of your latest academic record for university students.
  • Certified copy of your Academic record (Grade 12 latest academic record/Grade 11 final academic record).
