Bursary description: The Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) is South Africa’s leading and most important research and development organization. The CSIR is Africa’s largest research and development organization, accounting for around 10% of the continent’s total research and development spending. Students enrolling in honours will be covered up to R100,000 each year for the bursary. Students enrolling in a master’s degree will be covered up to R120 000 each year for the bursary. Bursary description: The South African Reserve Bank is the country’s central bank. It was founded in 1921 after Parliament approved the “Currency and Bank Act of 10 August 1920,” in response to the atypical monetary and financial conditions brought on by World War I. The fundamental goal of the South African Reserve Bank is to maintain the currency’s value in the interest of a balanced and long-term economic growth in the country. The bank employs many people throughout the country and also assists students with bursaries. For the bursary, students will get support for the first year if they are selected.
